Installation of the software is really easy on all platforms.
On Windows
Download the software from the downloads site https://quickcalc.cc-computers.com
Once downloaded make sure you Right Click on the app (or press ALT + Enter) and select "Properties". From there you will see a box to tick, labelled "Unblock", next to the message that says "This file came form another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer."
Why does this happen?
Because this software is downloaded from the internet and is currently unsigned. As it is unsigned it can also cause Windows Smart Screen to jump up and down about it. Although signing it will not prevent that entirely it would help it to quicker be recognised as a legitimate software package.
Why not sign it?
Signing is an expensive business. We don't use any of the built-in Windows installation methods, we wrote our own. You can run this software from the downloads folder but we recommend installing it if you intend to keep it.
Why install it?
We recommend installing it as the downloads folder is considered ephemeral, that is temporary, any cleanup tool, including the built-in Windows cleanup tools will recommend emptying the downloads folder. It is where we download the installation package for all software and should be emptied periodically to save space and remove outdated install software.
